New Leaf Behavioral Health

Clinical Mental Health Therapist

Raleigh, North Carolina•Full-time
About the Job
An established nonprofit practice distinguished by clinical excellence, professional collaboration, and a commitment to accessible mental health care.

Since 2007, New Leaf Behavioral Health has served the Wake County community and beyond, bringing together clinicians who share a commitment to thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-based mental health care. Our nonprofit model reflects a belief that clinical excellence, professional fulfillment, and meaningful community service are not competing priorities, but essential elements of a sustainable practice.

We are seeking fully licensed and associate-level therapists to join our growing multidisciplinary clinical team. These full-time, hybrid positions offer an opportunity to practice within an established organization that values clinical judgment, intellectual curiosity, professional independence, and collegial engagement.

A Distinctive Clinical Environment:
We believe that the quality of clinical work is strengthened by the professional environment in which it takes place. New Leaf has intentionally cultivated a practice where clinicians benefit from both the autonomy of independent clinical work and the resources of a collaborative professional community.
  • Clinical Collaboration and Consultation Our clinicians represent a range of professional backgrounds, specialties, and clinical perspectives. Regular opportunities for consultation, case discussion, and interdisciplinary exchange contribute to a culture of shared learning and sound clinical decision-making.
  • Professional Development and Clinical Scholarship We place considerable value on continued learning and the thoughtful application of research to clinical practice. Internal continuing education, professional development opportunities, and a culture of critical inquiry support clinicians in refining their expertise throughout their careers.
  • Clinical Supervision and Mentorship Associate-level clinicians receive dedicated licensure supervision grounded in clinical reasoning, ethical practice, and professional development. Our approach emphasizes the development of confident, capable, and reflective independent practitioners.
  • Established Administrative Support Our dedicated administrative team manages referrals, scheduling, credentialing, billing, and related practice operations, allowing clinicians to devote their professional attention to the delivery of care.

A Practice Model with a Broader Purpose:
As a nonprofit, New Leaf integrates commercially insured, Medicaid, and reduced-fee counseling services within a single clinical organization. This model allows us to serve individuals across a broad range of financial circumstances while maintaining a sustainable and professionally rewarding practice environment.

Clinicians have the opportunity to work with diverse populations and presenting concerns, contributing to an organization whose work extends beyond the individual therapy office to the mental health needs of the wider community.

Compensation, Benefits, and Professional Sustainability:
We recognize that exceptional clinical care requires an environment in which clinicians are professionally supported and appropriately compensated. Our compensation structure reflects licensure, experience, and professional responsibilities, with an emphasis on long-term sustainability.

Full-time positions include:
  • Competitive compensation based on licensure and experience.
  • Hybrid scheduling with both in-office and remote clinical work.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Paid time off and flexible scheduling within established operating hours.
  • Employer-provided professional liability insurance.
  • Internal continuing education and professional development.
  • Dedicated administrative and clinical support.
  • Licensure supervision for associate-level clinicians.

Professional Qualifications:
We welcome applications from North Carolina clinicians holding, or eligible for, the following credentials: LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT, LMFTA, LPA, or Licensed Psychologist.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who demonstrate sound clinical judgment, a commitment to ethical and evidence-informed practice, and an interest in working with diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Beyond professional credentials, we value clinicians who bring intellectual curiosity, openness to consultation, and a genuine interest in contributing to a collegial clinical community.

Join Our Clinical Team:
